At finduddannelse.dk, we believe that the students of today through their research and future job placements can help shape the world of tomorrow in a positive manner - and we want to encourage this ambition by offering up to €5000 scholarship! Applications are now open!

Unfortunately we will not be offering finduddannelse.dk Sustainability Scholarship anymore. We are so happy for all the interest and applications we have received over time, and we would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to the many talented students. It has been amazing to see how many young people is educating themselves in sustainability in all sorts of fields. We truly hope that you will continue your path towards making the world a better place and fighting to make the best green solutions for the future.

Finduddannelse.dk is a Danish platform for lifelong learning. We believe that the students of today, through their research and future job placements can help shape the world of tomorrow in a positive way - and we want to help them on their way! 

That’s why we’re offering a scholarship of up to €5000 to help cover your tuition fees and get you one step closer to your, hopefully, world-changing vocation.

The scholarship will be awarded to a student studying a masters or will start studying a master. It is open to people from all over the world who want to study a master's program that is helping you make the world more sustainable. We believe in making the world a more sustainable place and we want to help others who share our dream.

Eligibility

To apply for this scholarship:

  • You must have been accepted or applied to a master's program that can help you make the world more sustainable
  • You must have started, been accepted or have applied for a program that starts at the latest in January 2023. 
  • The degree program may not be online 
  • You must meet the entry requirements for the university or graduate school, including:
    • Hold a valid undergraduate degree
    • Meet language requirements for the program
    • You must hold or be eligible to apply for a relevant study visa (if applicable)

Are you committed to taking action?

If you are planning on starting a master's degree that can help alleviate the impact of the climate change, then we (already) know that you have your heart and mind in the right place. What else are we looking for in a candidate?

  • A global mindset, and an interest in combating climate change - whether it be within clean energy, biology, architecture, economics, business, health, agriculture, law, political science, journalism, anthropology or any other relevant field. 
  • Motivated and inspired to positively change the world
  • A high academic achiever with the grades to prove it
  • Involved in sustainable initiatives and projects (volunteering work, job etc.)
  • Excited to take responsibility and determined effect change!


Application requirements

Wondering how to apply for this scholarship?

To be considered, you must submit your completed application by September 22th 2022 at 12pm CET.

The application consists of:

  • Filling out the short form
    • Name, age, nationality 
    • Country of origin, chosen university and study
    • Former education and experience
  • Submitting a short essay (500-700 words) on the questions:
    • What motivated you to choose this particular study program? 
    • How is your program going to help you fight/alleviate the impact of the climate change? 
    • Overall, how do you think education and the fight against climate change are connected?

Please note, applications must be submitted in English or Danish. Applications in other languages will not be considered.

You may be asked to provide:

  • Proof of acceptance in the form of a copy of your acceptance letter
  • Proof of undergraduate qualification in the form of a copy of your transcript
  • Proof of identity in the form of a copy of your passport.

Please have these documents on hand should you be awarded the scholarship. 

If selected as the winner, you must:

  • Respond within 7 days of receiving the offer of scholarship to confirm acceptance and supply us with the above mentioned documents
  • You agree to be an ambassador for finduddannelse.dk (read about what it means to be a finduddannelse.dk ambassador in the full terms and conditions).

FAQs about this scholarship

  • How many scholarships will be awarded?

There is only one scholarship available which will be awarded to one individual.

  • When will I find out if I have won the scholarship?

The scholarship winner will be announced after October 10th 2022. All applicants will be notified via email from November 1st 2022.

  • Can I edit my application after I submit it?

Yes, it is possible for you to edit your application after submitting it. The application closes September 22nd 2022, after this date the application form will be closed and all submissions will be considered final.

  • What do I have to submit with my application?

In the initial application, all you need to do is fill in the form along with a 500-700 word essay. If you are offered the scholarship, you will be asked to supply further documentation to further prove your eligibility.

  • What should I include in my application essay?

We would like you to answer the following questions in your application essay:

  • What motivated you to choose this particular study program? 
  • How is your program going to help you fight/alleviate the impact of the climate change? 
  • Overall, how do you think education and the fight against climate change are connected?

  • Can I get reimbursed if I have already paid my tuition fees?

No, the terms of this scholarship state that your tuition fees must not yet be paid as we will only pay the scholarship fund directly to the university or the provider of the course, not to you, the student.

  • Can I email or post you my application?

No, all applications must be submitted via the official online form. If you email or post us your application, we will not include it for consideration.

  • Is this scholarship for degrees taught in English only?

No, this scholarship is open to programs or courses taught in any language! We just require the application to be submitted in English or Danish.

  • Is this scholarship open to me if I'm studying at a school that is not a university?

Yes, as long as it is higher education institute of some kind. 

  • What countries can I study abroad at with this scholarship?

We will be accepting applications from people from any country and you are allowed to study anywhere in the world. But it is important that you can argue why you have chosen your university and country.
